Trevor Palmer

Founder and Managing Director, The Boda Group

Trevor established The Boda Group following the success of its founding consultancies, Tank and Warbox. Under Trevor’s leadership, Boda has grown into a highly regarded collective working nationally and internationally with clients including SAS, Currys, Bayer, Ipsos and Canva. While he has taken on a broader strategic role as managing director of the Group, Trevor remains actively involved in shaping strategy for clients, utilising his 20+ years’ experience devising and leading PR and digital marketing campaigns for high-growth businesses.

Max Bevis

Operations Director, The Boda Group

Max joined Tank in 2012 as a PR executive and progressed to become a director and board member, before taking on a founding role in establishing The Boda Group. Today, he oversees operations and processes across the Group, ensuring Tank, Warbox, Kaptive and Boda run efficiently and are positioned for sustainable growth. With a career shaped inside the business, Max brings first-hand experience of its evolution and a deep understanding of how to balance creativity with commercial focus.

Phil Kelsey

Commercial and Strategy Director, The Boda Group

Phil has over 15 years’ owner-level experience in strategic planning, commercial growth and leadership. During that time, he has helped build and lead companies with turnovers of around £5m and teams of up to 50 people, across the tech, marketing, automotive and financial services sectors. At Boda, Phil works with the group’s MDs to deliver commercial strategies and drive organic growth. He also leads acquisition activity to strengthen and expand what the group offers.

Tony Shafar

Finance Director (Fractional / Consultant), The Boda Group

Tony serves as a fractional finance director / consultant to The Boda Group, providing external financial leadership and advising the leadership team with board-level financial insight, to strengthen decision-making and drive sustainable growth. With over 20 years in senior finance and executive roles, he combines strategic guidance with hands-on financial leadership to enhance profitability and operational clarity.

Nickie Elenor

Legal and People Director, The Boda Group

Nickie brings three decades of experience as a HR strategist and consultant to her role as legal and people director at The Boda Group. Having advised Tank since 2012, she joined the board in 2025 to provide dedicated support as the Group continues to expand in the UK and internationally. At Boda, she combines legal expertise with a focus on employee experience, ensuring Tank, Warbox, Kaptive and future ventures remain dynamic places to work.

Martin Stone

Managing Director, Tank

Martin leads Tank, the highly successful digital marketing and PR agency that sits at the heart of The Boda Group. Continually ranked by PR Week as the leading agency in the East Midlands and amongst the fastest growing agencies outside of London, Martin and the board have led the team to successive year-on-year growth, with a keen eye for exceptional client standards and meaningful people development. A former broadcast journalist for both the BBC and commercial radio, he brings first-hand knowledge of the media landscape to every campaign, ensuring strategies are bold, creative and impactful.

Mark Fensom

Managing Director, Warbox

Mark combines creativity with commercial purpose to deliver brand strategies that transform businesses. With more than 25 years’ experience, he has worked with global names such as McDonald’s, BT, EE, AstraZeneca and Equifax, as well as leading universities and growth-focused companies. As director of Warbox, Mark leads on brand development, design and communications, delivering tangible business value to clients in multiple industries.

Deborah Knight

Managing Director, Kaptive

Deborah brings over two decades of experience in customer success and commercial leadership. She has led international teams, built scalable customer strategies, and helped fast-growing companies turn customer relationships into engines of growth and retention. Through her consultancy, Kaptive, she supports scaleups and ambitious brands to design customer-led growth models.
